All good (or in this case, mediocre) things must come to an end. Today is the five year anniversary of my admission to the bar.
I can now waive into numerous states with regards to the practice of law. My bar exam saga seems like ages ago. I'm working (more than I'd like at times) and gaining experience, honing my skills and making contacts for the next great adventure. Life is good. I can't imagine being a law student currently in school and dealing with the continued skyrocketing tuition costs and employment issues. Good luck with that, gang!
As I said in my first blog post ever, I found a lot of solace in reading about the experiences of other people that failed the bar exam and then ultimately rose above it all and trudged on until conquering that challenge. My net hat especially tips to The Grand Poobah. He passed the California bar exam on his 11th attempt.
Now my story is just another section, mostly funny, in a chapter of my memoirs.
I haven't posted a lot on this blog after I gained admission to the DC bar. As time has marched on, I've tried to update a bit of info to keep it helpful and relevant to the DC bar exam wannabes out there (e.g., list of release dates of DC results, essay questions for various occurrences of the exam).
Now, my time is done. I'm not going to delete the blog, but I am going to retire from my "active" role in it. Use it, glean what you can and move on to success with your next exam.
Good luck to all and be kind.
